Anthony’s inspiration for forming KIJIJI ATLANTA stems from a deep connection to his ancestors, and a desire to give back to the community that has been an integral part of his life. Born and reared in a small village in Alabama, Anthony understands the transformative power of community and the importance of positive cultural representation. He aims to create spaces where individuals from diverse backgrounds come together, thrive, and celebrate their shared cultural experiences.

Anthony C. Ramsey
Founder & CEO at Kijiji Atlanta
Coming from a four-generational lineage of builders, Anthony has construction coursing through his veins. From a very young age, he was at his father Cecil’s home remodeling business project sites. Over Anthony’s 25-year-plus professional career, he has worked as a civil engineering project manager, a construction consultant, a real estate manager, and a construction executive, leading top-caliber work in many parts of the United States and beyond.
As a former military officer and executive, Anthony has refined and exemplified leadership at the highest levels. Anthony is proud to now lead Cecil Capital Inc., a real estate development company he founded in 2022 under the brand KIJIJI ATLANTA with the mission of building neighborhoods that celebrate the richness and beauty of African culture. These neighborhoods are constructed as cluster or “pocket” communities designed to encourage organic interaction and relationship building, leading to strong and empowered communities.
Having been born and reared in a neighborhood surrounded by aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and even his great-grandmother Hattie Ramsey, who lived to the ripe old age of 113, Anthony understands the essence and importance of Community and the value of an African village. A strong spirit of independence reigned supreme in his small village, as well as African spirituality, given that most family units operated small businesses and all family units were active in the neighborhood church founded and constructed by the hands of the family Patriarch James Ramsey, Sr.
Anthony's childhood environment heavily influenced him and led him to study civil engineering, business, and theology at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Abilene Christian University, and Vanderbilt University respectively. (Although you will not hear him talk about it, he is also an ordained minister.) Anthony’s life journey led him to KIJIJI ATLANTA, which, as a neighborhood, is imbued with all the values that make Anthony who is today…an African who loves African people.
